Us..these days

THANK You for ur words of support in the comment section for my previous entry....the callsn all.. i really appreciate them....Sori... due to slow line n lack of time...i cant answerthem one by one... :0)

There we were yesterday at hussein nasik kandar...in sungai petani....all famished to the bone...tired...sweaty all over...our bodies crying out loud for the heavenly feelings of a bath....

And in a time like that...the kids remembering our family traditional homemade iced lemon tea...abandoned their usual iced milo (chocolate drink) n told me they wanted iced lime tea....lime... the malaysian substituteforlemon.. just like their yana teyze n i.....since my sister went to wash her hands.. i was left to order the drinks...

The waiter game me an incredulous look when he heard my order...again... he asked me to make sure as i was on my way to wash my hands (well...we malaysians do eat by hands)... again asking me d same question the third time....i should have found that weird...but i was too tired to notice...
When drinks came... my sister n i looked at each other.... coz u see.... what we wanted was not what came..!!! i finally realised my mistake....u see...instead of saying i wanted...

*teh O ais limau* (iced lime tea)

i had ordered...

*teh ais limau!!! (iced lime tea with concentrated milk!!!)

Yikes!!! the taste was horrible!! How was i supposed to know that the usage of d word *O* in ordering the drinks is xtremely vital!! hahahahaah... n so... i ended up drinking hatice n baddinz TEH AIS LIMAU myself!! hahahahahaha God! it was totally tummy suicidal then! hahahahahahaha...

And i am proud to report that hatice prefers to try eating using her hands these days... while baddin... he is trying his best too.. happily blending into this culture they r a part of...they r also comfortable in using a few malay words such as...

1. counting...satu dua tiga till sepuluh (one to ten)...
2. saying the word -terima kasih- which means thank you...
3. makan... which is a significant word for eating...
4. jom balik! letz go home well.... a normal thing to learn since we all r always out almost everyday for longggggggggg hours! hahaahahaha

my kids r having a swell time here Alhamdulillah..they simply adore the kittens in particular....now them dreaming of a house with a garden in istanbul since that is my condition for them to get my permission of ever being able to keep cats...everybody pampers them...they also adore their cousins deeply....with english as their medium of instruction.....n definitely their love for cats became their stongest connecting point....

Zam...the teenage cousin of my kids..my sis 2nd son in particular is the Xtreme shy type...he closes his face even everytime i try to snap a pic of him!!! hahahaha Hatice had wanted to get closer to Zam as well.....not reallysuccessful much....until....... Zam was hospitalised n needed an operation due to a broken hand....hatice took that chance to hug n kiss this one particular cousin of hers!! n i snapped as many pics i possibly could of him! hahahahaha no escape there!!sorry kiddo! hahahaha..Alhamdulillah... hatice n baddin get along well with the rest of their cousins as well...in fact with everybody in the family....they r happy...

Unfortunately... the 2 days visit to the hospital had resulted in baddin to jog down his memory back to the loss in December 2007...superficially..he shows no sign of distress...but

wetting his bed these 2 nites in a row....going to the toilet a zillion time these 2 nites.... Yes...i need to give him xtra special attention these days.....please pray for him....hehideshisfeelings n he is one xtremely sensitive guy...
P.s....Tem.... BMW da olabilir!hahahahaha
Thank u for hopping by. Hope to see you again soon... :0)

Cats are therapeutic - stroking their fur proves that!

My husband was on transit for a few hours in Istanbul two weeks ago, enroute to Egypt.

He loves Istanbul and would like to bring us there one of these days. Yippee! He said it's cleaner than Egypt. And not so hot like Egypt too. The weather was cooling. :)

I'd love to meet you there one day. Btw, are you dropping by KL before you go home? Please let me know.

The vacation is really going well, right? Bila nak mai KL lagi, Simah?

Tell Hatice and Baddin to enjoy themselves as much as they can. Maybe they can later do a scrapbook of their Malaysian holiday and put in there all their favourite memories.
