My confession

Dear Baba...

When Kerim started to ask questions as to whether we would be going to Sapanca this genç bayramı holiday (saturday, sunday, monday)...

ur son... my beloved ..

asked for my opinion as to whether.. to go or not to go...

I told him.. that i was reluctant...because it would cost a lot of money...

money we needed to save for our trip to Malaysia...

i also told him that the kids would have Bahar Okulu ..

-badminton for hatice n football for baddin that saturday...

I was not too keen to go....

But hatice n baddin were too excited to go.....

they love sapanca too much...

And ur son... thinking that my main objection was money...,

decided on his own that.. to heck with the money...

he decided that we would go without consulting me......

I went beserk.. coz u see...

the last time i was in sapanca... it was last summer (2007)..

We spent more than one months there...

u.. the kids... mıstık.. n whenever possible.. my beloved...

I remember how i kept complaining to my beloved that i missed our home in istanbul...

But then.. u wanted to stay.. n with u in mind... the kids n i stayed..

after all...

u r my father too...

it was my duty...

n besides... the kids love sapanca.. n if i am honest...

i love sapanca too...

n the pool...,

the pool anne made u built when sapanca house was built...

that was among the best things sapanca has ..is.. and will be for us...

But this trip...

it would be without u...

That was my biggest objection in my heart this time...

But we went anyway..

we stayed for one nite...

in my mind...

with every turn i made...

it was u i thought of ....

displaying the memories of past events...

Even ur son...

was no less affected...

he kept saying to me...

*baba bu severdik*..

(baba would have loved this)..

on things he saw...

it was not only i who have missed u..

ur son too...

of the times we spent in sapanca with u...

Remember this garden, baba?

It is so green...

ur fav armut tree died..

But the kids..

hatice.. baddin.. keremcan, ediz n ekrem had fun playing in the garden a few days ago...

we ate 2 BBQ dinners on saturday n sunday as well...

i noticed one thing...

once in Sapanca... i am back to my habitual stuffs...

once i fed my kids their breakfast...

i straight away prepared the cold dishes for dinner..

again..i spent my morning in the kitchen till breakfast time..

so that i could relax after breakfast...

old habits die hard i guess...

Anyway... the pool...

remember this pool baba? ,

the pool where the frogs performed a concert for us last year??

It is clean now...

Mıstık cleaned it up...

the pool is filled up...

i think maybe mıstık will got here again next week to do the *ters yıkama*

as well as adding the necessary chemicals to the pool...

I dunno whether i will have the chance to jump into the pool before Malaysia...

i really hope i will be able too...

I will miss the big tour (hiking) too...

plucking the wild berries

we did one on sunday.. together with halimlar...

i found it soo easy this year!! maybe coz i am more fit than i was last year...

Anyway... baba...i will miss our sapanca together...

Sapanca in the future will never be the same again ever...

but life goes on...

U know what baba...??

After Sapanca.. we went to a picnic organised by FÜSEM staff..

family picnic...

It was great!

Poor baddin.. he had fever...but he couldnt enjoy himself much...

..the company was great...the food was great...

i have always loved these people...

very warm... very sweet indeed..

pure hearted people...i feel honoured to be among them..

i have included their photos here as well...

but i guess u wont be able to read this blog or see the pics from where u r eh?

and i think..i am glad that this summer we will be going to malaysia..

so that my kids will be reacquainted with their other dede.. n anna anne...
